Attempting to Achieve Pure Madness (NaBloPoMo + other stuff)
I Am Clever
Hey, peoples! In three days, I plan to take part in NaBloPoMo.

For those of you who don't know:

NaBloPoMo is short for National Blog Posting Month, and the challenge is to post in your blog once a day every day for a month.

It's an offshoot of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writer's Month), where the challenge is to write a 50,000 word novel in one month.

The official month for both of these is November (although NaBloPoMo actually can be done in any month of the year for those who so choose).

I figured, why not? :P

NaNo sounded interesting to me in the past - however, I lack the discipline to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. So I looked around last year (yay Google) and found NaBlo. Unfortunately, the month was already over half over, so I couldn't take part, but this year, I am rarin' to go!

It ought to be interesting to see how I do - the most I've ever posted in this Blog/Journal in one month was 10 posts (Feb 2007). I hope to break that record and complete NaBlo this November.

So, be prepared for a whole lot of randomness and fun happenings coming from my direction starting November 1.

Crazy quotes on madness and writing to get me in the mood (and because I was bored):

"Art is a little bit larger than life - it's an exhalation of life and I think I you probably need a little touch of madness." - Lawrence Olivier

"No great genius has ever existed without some touch of madness." - Aristotle

“Writing is a form of personal freedom. It frees us from the mass identity we see in the making all around us. In the end, writers will write not to be outlaw heroes of some underculture but mainly to save themselves, to survive as individuals.” - Don Delillo

"Writing is easy. You need only stare at a piece of paper [or in this case, a screen] until your forehead bleeds." - Gene Fowler

"Write from the soul, not from some notion what you think the marketplace wants. The market is fickle; the soul is eternal." - Jeffrey A. Carver

Today is National Chocolate Day! Celebrate with chocolate, one and all, and spread the love! :D
