List The Music Your Parents Listened To When You Were A Kid

1. Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da - The Beatles
2. My Favourite Things - Julie Andrews (The Sound of Music soundtrack)
3. 9 to 5 - Dolly Parton
4. Whip It - Devo
5. Freeze Frame - J. Geils Band
6. Does Your Mother Know - ABBA
7. Live Out Loud - Steven Curtis Chapman
8. Dreamer - Supertramp
9. It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year - Amy Grant
10. Mandy - Barry Manilow
11. Any Simon & Garfunkel song

I'm gonna be honest; it was actually kind of hard to populate this list. My parents didn't actually listen to a lot of distinctive groups/artists until I hit around 12-13 or so (and I wanted to try and find stuff from earlier if possible, as that was the time I started forming a lot of my own musical tastes), but I found a few songs that I remember hearing over my childhood. Some of these weren't songs they listened to in general (1, 3, 4, 5, 9), but my mom used to sing them a lot (1) or had them as part of a workout mix (3, 4, 5), or I just can't remember a Christmas without them being played (9).

Either way, though, these songs all formed a part of my childhood. Thanks, Mom and Dad. :)

Fanfic Thursday tomorrow!
