I Am Clever
Those of you that know me know that I don't tend to make food. I mean, I can, but I've just never been a diehard chef or anything. I'm not the type to burn water, though, because I can make food - that is, if we're thinking of things like eggs, grilled cheese or the ever-popular choices Kraft Dinner and Microwave Burritos.

...and let's net even forget the wonderful world of Chef Boyardee. I've been told I make a mean ravioli when I partner with him.

Thus, I struck edible gold when I found Tim - not only can he cook (and cook well), but he enjoys it! Amen and hallelujah. I've often quoted Jim Davis' Garfield on our food relationship: "..he likes to cook, and I like to eat."

Now, that's not to say I do absolutely no food work whatsoever - I'm just better at what Tim calls "short-order" cooking - easy, no mess no fuss sort of stuff. I won't be the one to pull out a pot roast or slow-cook ribs or anything, but things like my grilled cheese and spiced-up tomato soup are one of my favourites to make.

Anyway, today I was going through my email (cleaned up over 1100 old emails, but that's another story) and found some recipes Tim had asked me about previously. I saw one that looked relatively easy, so I thought I'd try it out tonight. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out for my first time trying something like this. :D

The creatively-titled Spaghetti and Bacon was a big success, both visually and deliciously.
