Everybody seems to think I'm lazy; I don't mind, I think they're crazy...

Day Two Hundred-Twelve (Aka: A Better Day)
I finally got to go on the water today, for the first time in a week. No one is injured, and I'm able to chill out (relatively speaking) in the sunlight with my cadets.

I also gave my division this warning this morning: if they want to go to Sickbay within the next 5 days, they had better be bleeding out or dying. Part of their CanSail 3 checklist involves them taking part in a multi-day training camp and two local regattas. If they go into Sickbay, they risk waiting for several hours to be seen, thus missing vital training time. If they miss too much/are deemed unfit to sail, it leads down this happy little trail:

1. They won't be able to take part in the regatta.
2. They won't be able to get that checked off their CanSail 3 checklist.
3. Completing CanSail 3 is a requirement to pass this 6-week course.
4. They won't pass the course, and will receive a failure and potential RTU.

...let's just say my cadets were behaving pretty cautiously today.
