I Am Clever

A Fine Line - Between Chaos and Creation

Everybody seems to think I'm lazy; I don't mind, I think they're crazy...

Day One Hundred Seventy-Seven (Aka: I Hate Being Tech Support)
Pinkie Stare
My parents aren't too bad when it comes to technology. I've read stories of some peoples' technological stupidity, and I've always been relieved that mine aren't that bad.

But then, nights like tonight happen, and leave me so frustrated.

Somehow, it's all MY fault that my mom's iPod went and wiped itself clean after it charged off my (closed) laptop.

Somehow, I'm incompetent when I don't know why all Mom's album artwork disappeared (on her iPod; iTunes is fine) when she reloaded her music, and I don't know how to fix it.

I have to stay around for ages while Mom sorts through her music, attempt to find missing music (listed in iTunes; just won't play it due to missing files) for her playlist (which doesn't work, and gets her asking "So what should I do now?" when I JUST DON'T KNOW.).

She keeps asking what she should do; why iTunes keeps on popping up warning messages about "Could not sync to 'MOM'S IPOD' due to duplicate filename" or etc, where she should look for her music, and what should she do with these old backup iTunes libraries we saved to a hard drive a while ago? Is her song on one of those?

I'm just tired, I can't help you anyway, and I want to go to bed. I was going to try to get to bed earlier and post at a more reasonable time tonight, too. I'm sick and tired of going to bed in between 1-2AM, and constantly having to backdate my entries. Heck, why do I even bother sharing them to Facebook if I upload them at this time? Nobody even reads them because they're so late.

I'm pretty sure I even had a good idea earlier for something to write about, but if I did, it's now gone, due to the mind-numbingness of doing that tech support.

I can't wait to leave.
