NaBloPoMo 2011 - Day Two
Adam Smile
So, today is Day Two.

Right now, I'm at school, eating some delicious applesauce my mom made. Did I mention it was delicious? :D

I'm also having trouble coming up with a topic to post about for today (And that's NEVER a good sign. Especially when it's only the second day. :S)

So, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that falls into this lack-of-topic-slump, so... I'mma research for a list of things to try and post about when you're short of ideas. :D

List of things to post about:
1. What's going on in your life.

2. Rants. (well-thought-out ones, not just 'ZOMG I LIEK HAET JUSTIN BEEBER SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH')
- Bonus points for being entertaining.

3. Satire. (see: Spotter's Guide to Poppy Purchasers, NaBlo 2009)

4. Something new you learned/found out recently.

5. A How-To post. (Because there's most likely SOMEONE out there who needs your help.)

6. Comment on something going on in the world/news today.

7. Tell a story - real or fictional.

8. Find a random book, and flip to a random page. Then, the first sentence that you see - write about it.
- Alternatively, you could just go with the first written sentence you see anywhere.

9. Check out someone else's blog, maybe in a subject you wouldn't necessarily read. Sometimes, you can find inspiration where you least expect it.

10. Make a list. Just like this one. :P
- Write the “5 Secrets to...” or the “Top 10 Ways...” or “8 Reasons Why...” or “3 Ways to Find Out..." etc. (I didn't make this one. I found it on a website.)

Also, the best idea for retaining ideas for blogging... buy a notebook and carry it with you, so when you get ideas you can write them down at that moment. That way, when you're worrying later because you have no inspiration, you can simply turn to your notebook of awesome ideas. :D
